REC GYMNASTICS

Recreational gymnastics is designed for kids that want to learn basic gymnastics skills, stay fit, build strength and flexibility but don't want to commit to long hours in the gym or partake in competitions. 

Recreational classes meet once weekly and are designed for beginner through intermediate students. Rec classes are pressure free and FUN.

XCel Gymnastics

The goal of our Xcel program is to offer gymnasts of different capabilities and commitment levels the opportunity for a positive and rewarding competitive gymnastics experience. The Xcel program is ideal for not only entry-level gymnasts, but also older gymnasts who are looking for a fun way to stay in shape and be involved in the sport. Our gym mission is to create kind, thoughtful athletes who find their own personal progress rewarding without comparison to others. XCel team gymnasts have the option of representing 77 + Sunny in meets across the region. XCel is the only competitive program offered within our gym as we believe in the flexibility and inclusion of the program. XCel team members train 4-6 hours weekly depending on level.

Acro Dance and Tumble

Our national awarding winning acro dance program is like gymnastics floor routines, but choreographed in groups with lifts, tosses, and cool tricks you won’t find in any other sport. Our recreational acro classes are tumbling and flexibility focused. These classes are ideal for students interested in gymnastics floor/tumbling skills without the desire to learn all of the other gymnastics apparatus, or dancers of any kind looking to progress in tricks.

Our competitive performance Acro teams require attendance of weekly team choreo and skills class. Crossover students from both XCel gymnastics and competition cheer are welcome and encouraged to audition! Inquire for skill requirements and audition information!

Competition Cheer

Our cheer teams compete in the Novice and Prep divisions at competitions within a 2.5 hour radius of Charleston SC. Our teams have a reduced amount of training compared to Elite division teams allowing them to juggle cheer with other sports or in studio programs. Our Prep team members are required one weekly team choreography/stunting class and a weekly acro or tumbling class that best fits their schedule. Many athletes crossover into our acro dance teams as they compete in the same competitions. Multiple levels and age groups available. Cheer team is a full season commitment September- May. Try-outs or private pre-season placements required. Please inquire for more information.
