Our recreational classes are designed to introduce new athletes to dance, gymnastics, and cheer in a pressure free joy-filled environment. Recreational classes are appropriate for beginner to intermediate athletes in all programs and cover all basics needed to enter our competitive programs as your child growths through our program.
Recreational Classes Offered:
Parent and Me: Parent participation classes for toddlers, less structure, more freedom of movement while learning gym safety and motor skills in a joyful environment.
Parent Observation: Classes for preschool aged students who may not be ready for independent drop in style classes, but no longer need parent led assistance for safety. This class requires a readiness to take turns, and follow directions.
Recreational Tumbling Specific Classes: Kickover and Walkovers, Handsprings, and Tucks+. All athletes must be registered in the appropriate level. These classes are tumbling focused and do not include vault, beam, or bar work.
Acro Dance: Introduction to multiple styles of dance used within out dance team training + flexibility skills, partner work . This class is best combined with an appropriate level tumbling class.
Dance Prep: Beginner-Intermediate Dance team training option with an end of season exhibition at a local competition.
Dance and Gymnastics Combo: A combo class touching on all aspects of beginner basics in dance and gymnastics for 4-6 year olds. A great starter class as your child establish interests!
Rec Gymnastics: Bars, Beam, Floor, and Trampoline for beginner to intermediate students grouped by age/grade level with “personal best” style training.
Recreationa Hip Hop and Pom: a high energy, non competitive dance class for elementary school aged students. Best paired with a tumbling class.
Rec Cheer: Cheer skills without the time and financial commitment of competition style for elementary school aged athletes. Best paired with a tumbling class.
Both locations (Main Rd. and Maybank Hwy.) will appear in the portal when registering. Please make sure you pay close attention to your location choices when selecting classes if you have a location preference. Artistic Gymnastics (bars, beam, vault, and floor) is only offered at our Maybank Hwy location for the 2025-2026 season. All classes are coed unless otherwise noted.
Recreational classes are available in semesters and are organized by age for social and emotional development. Training is customized within their classes for each child to achieve their personal best. Athletes who are ready for more of a challenge may inquire about available team training options. Entry level team programs offer more training time and focus than our recreational classes, with less of a overall commitment than higher level teams.
